This 90-minute workshop, facilitated by Dr. Sherita Roundtree, the founder of the Greater Baltimore Community Literacy Collective (GBCLC), will help visual artists and creatives enhance their artistic storytelling through public-facing writing. With a focus on multidisciplinary and multi-genre writing approaches, artists who participate in the workshop will draw on their own experiences and expertise to better address their primary audiences across contexts. To better tailor the workshops and future collaborations with the Creative Alliance, workshop participants will be asked to complete pre-workshop and post-workshop surveys. These survey responses will allow the GBCLC to better understand each participant’s artistry and the unique writing-based needs associated with it. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Sherita at sroundtree@towson.edu.
