Butōh Dance Workshop with Yumiko Yoshioka

The main focus of this workshop is a conscious research of our body/mind/soul unification, so we can deeply enjoy the intrinsic process of metamorphosis in the spirit of dance. Through a continuous exploration of our past collective memories, we can strike a vein of abundant creative resources, enriching the essence of our life. The body is a receptacle of time.

Cooking Technique Demonstration & Tasting with Chef Keith Curley

SAT JUL 25 & AUG 1 | 2-5PM

Chef Keith will be preparing a sampling menu and sharing preparation secrets of the trade.

Keith will demonstrate how to make the following courses: Pan seared Artic char and poached Maine lobster with sautéed spinach, polenta cake, and corn “chowder” sauce. Roasted golden beet salad. Pan seared chicken breast with savory herb stuffing, shaved brussel sprout maque choux, whipped sunchokes, and tomato gastrique pan sauce.

This is not a hands-on workshop. You’ll watch and learn how to sear, poach, sauté, and roast. Chef Keith will share crucial knife techniques as he prepares ingredients for the meal.

Capoeira is a dynamic Brazilian art form that blends self-defense, acrobatics, and dance. It helps improve balance, coordination, and physical strength while introducing participants to a different language and culture. Practiced with music and rhythm, Capoeira encourages learning through movement in an engaging and energetic way. Classes are beginner and family-friendly. Intro To Gymnastics: Girls Only

10 Class Series: Tuesdays SEP 15-NOV 17 | 3:30-4:30PM

This girls only gymnastic class series offers training in a basic level of gymnastic skills including flexibility, strength, and balance. The instructor will work with each athlete to grow and learn at their own pace. Whether your child is a seasoned gymnast or just starting out, this workshop is a fun opportunity to develop fundamental skills.

Fall is the season for warmth, spice, and cozy rituals. This hands-on cocktail and mocktail workshop is part herbal education, part flavor playground, and fully committed to fun. Led by educational and clinical herbalist Brittany Williams of Eudemonia Herbs, participants will learn how to infuse herbal flavors to build well-balanced, flavorful, and functional drinks.

For 27 years our community has been making Baltimore shine. Come create your favorite Patterson Park animal lantern with us! Maybe a duck, squirrel, or Oriole bird? We can’t wait to see what you’ll create.  Bring your lantern back to our spectacular parade on Saturday, October 24th (rain date: October 25th) and you can shine bright through the night!
