The Creative Alliance Resident Artist Program is a collaborative residency that fosters creativity, production, inspiration, and conversation. For over 10 years, the resident artist program at The Patterson has supported artists from Baltimore and the nation. Eight live/work studios are located on the second floor of The Patterson, a historic former movie theater, located in the Baltimore neighborhood of Highlandtown.

The Program

The Resident Artist Program at Creative Alliance is a collaborative residency that fosters creativity, production, inspiration, community, and conversation. Creative Alliance supports artists with reduced-rent live/work studios, professional development, studio visits with leaders in the art world, trips to art museums around Baltimore and the DMV, connections to other art production services, and a sense of community that extends beyond the artists’ time at Creative Alliance. During their residency, artists actively work on their art practice, showcase their work at Creative Alliance, and participate in resident artist gatherings.

The Creative Alliance Resident Artist Program is a collaborative residency that fosters creativity, production, inspiration, and conversation. Applications for the resident artist program can be found here and are evaluated every Spring.
