Once the sun sets, the magic begins. Myths, spirits, and legends converge in Patterson Park from lands beyond, bringing their mystic wonder to Baltimore. A majestic Alebrije presides over the stage as an ethereal Ouroboro watches over the festival grounds. Dragons, mythical creatures, ghouls, and spirit folk parade through Patterson Park surrounded by bright and beautiful music. Everyone is welcome to grab a lantern and march with thousands of neighbors, artists, musicians, and performers. Many more line the parade route to watch the delightful Great Halloween Lantern Parade winds through the night!!

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than opening all our doors, so you, your family, friends, and neighbors can dance, eat, create, and explore throughout the day! Get crafty with the Artesanas in the beautiful storefront classroom, watch cooking demonstrations from many countries in the teaching kitchen, and pop into a salsa, capoeira, or hip-hop lesson in the dance studio. The historic Patterson, with its bright and shiny refinished marquee, is also open! Listen to Sidewalk Serenades in the BUS stop, grab a cocktail in the Marquee Lounge, visit the exhibitions, and meet our NEW Resident Artists in their studios. There’s even free hot chocolate!
After 3 long years, the wildest party in town is back at Creative Alliance! The Marquee Ball returns in ALL NEW Techni-color with horrifying (or glamorous) costumes, shocking décor, chilling cocktails, and bone-shakin' bands. This is CREATURE FEATURE! Inspired by kitschy cult monsters of the 1950s, we invite you on a fascinating adventure into the unknown.
Don't miss the opportunity to have your artwork on the walls of our main gallery or your fabulous talents showcased on our stage. Who knows... you might be the next BIG thing!
Did you know that The BIG Show was the very first Creative Alliance program? That first event led to twenty-five years of artistic expression, community, cultivation of young minds, and so much joy.
This event is all about our incredibly talented members, those that have just joined Creative Alliance and those that have been with us since the beginning and are at the heart of our organization. Nothing can stop our members from creating and sharing their art with the world. This exhibition and show are designed to celebrate your artistic voice, creativity, and imagination!

Imagine yourself carried away to the Seven Hills of Rome—the soft Ponentino breeze grazes your face and you surrender to the tastes, smells, and sounds of one of the most romantic places on earth. Join us for a night of Italian culture, featuring typical Roman hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails, and of course, Prosecco. Enjoy a twenty-minute program of Italian arias performed by young professional opera singers, accompanied at the keyboard by Maestro James Harp of Maryland Opera. Learn about John McLucas’s recently published novel about English-speaking expats who have made Rome their home.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike)! Anne Draddy, co-author of Druid Hill Park: The Heart of Historic Baltimore, and Ben Frederick, lead a leisurely bike ride through Druid Hill Park. Pedal along the hilly paths, and slow down and take in the beauty of Baltimore’s 745 acre urban oasis filled with natural art and historic architecture that Anne describes on the ride. Discover hidden gems, such as a family cemetery, a Zen garden, and 300-year-old oak trees. After the ride, take time to absorb the history and majesty of the park while you devour a delicious vegan lunch.
