About the event

Creative Alliance’s Art To Dine For is one of the most anticipated seasons of parties dotted across the Baltimore region.

Each party is hosted in an exclusive space by fascinating collectors, designers, artists, musicians, singers, dancers, and arts lovers. They generously welcome you into their homes, lofts, studios, or workplaces for an insider’s view of Baltimore’s vivacious art scene. Art To Dine For supports Creative Alliance’s free and reduced artistic, youth education, and outreach programs.

Creative Alliance’s highly anticipated annual Art To Dine For season returns for its 23rd year! The series provides an insider’s view of Baltimore’s fascinating and diverse arts community! This year’s season features an inspiring variety of distinctive parties in intriguing locations with fabulous art, luscious fare, spirited cocktails, and lively conversation.

As always, proceeds from Art to Dine For support Creative Alliance’s FREE arts education and community programs that serve Baltimore students and their families. Thank you for helping us better serve Baltimore’s next generation!

Chef Amanda Mack, Baltimore baker, and founder of Crust By Mack, who was named Cook of the Year by Southern Living Magazine in 2021, takes you on a culinary adventure inspired by her love for Baltimore.

SUN SEP 18 | Phoenix
Hot Metal & Smokin’ BBQ
You will have the opportunity to peek into this sculptural oasis, where David Hess experiments and builds using industrial and agricultural cast-offs from Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Try your hand at welding and metalworking with expert tutorials from David, Kyle Miller, Jonathan Maxwell, and Jim Earlbeck. Snack on Andy Nelson’s barbecue and drink delicious local beer.

SUN SEP 25 (Rain Date SUN OCT 2) | Bolton Hill
A Garden of Earthly Delights 
While away your late afternoon with food and wine at one of Bolton Hill’s hidden treasures where the lines between garden and gallery dissolve. Susan and Peter Van Buren open their 1848 carriage house/cottage and gardens to share their collections and the results of their year-long COVID renovations. Chat with artists in their collection, including Leslie Schwing, Greg Fletcher, Linda DePalma, and Paul Daniel.

Fire, Enamel, Metal: Jewelry Making with Luci Jocke
Nothing to fear at this spooky jewelry-making workshop with Artist and Towson University Lecturer, Luci Jockel. Jockel’s work explores the life, death, and rebirth of animals in the unique medium of jewelry. Take a brief tour of the pre-revolutionary grist mill turned creative hub and gallery, and its unique transformation, while you raise a glass of cider to the old artisanal cidery and enjoy hearty fall hors d’oeuvres.

The Rothman House
Enjoy music, classic cocktails, and a swanky, seated dinner hosted by Neil Kahn and Jennifer Berk in their one-of-a-kind midcentury home. Located in a beautiful woodland setting and filled with an interesting and eclectic collection of African and fine arts, the house was designed by Charles Goodman, a famous modernist architect.

Hampden Homestyle Italian Feast & Tunes
Listen to the melodic tunes of Letitia VanSant while soaking in the art-filled eclectic Hampden home of Sonny Lacey & Kristin Wiebe. Chef Francesca Gallucci’s Italian Family-style feast returns! Her previous Art To Dine For dinners have been a quick sell-out, so don’t wait on this delicious, artistic evening!
