Referencing indigenous ceremonies and elemental processes and incorporating found and organic materials, including her hair, MJ Neuberger’s interactive and light-based installations and sculptural and image-based works acknowledge shared vulnerability and suggest reconnection with an indigenous, nature-based self as a path toward integrating trauma stemming from race and gender-based violence and broader cultural aggression.

The BIG Show Opening Reception 2023

Did you know that The BIG Show was the very first Creative Alliance program? That first event led to twenty-five years of artistic expression, community, cultivation of young minds, and so much joy.

This event is all about our incredibly talented members, those that have just joined Creative Alliance and those that have been with us since the beginning and are at the heart of our organization. Nothing can stop our members from creating and sharing their art with the world. This exhibition and show are designed to celebrate your artistic voice, creativity, and imagination!

Welcome to Hell: Art Exhibition by George Halkias

How often do you think about the Afterlife? Is it real, is it awesome, is it scary…..is it safe? Baltimore-based artist George Halkias explores these ideas, fueled by two things he’s obsessed with: death and organized religion. He’s always scared, but his brother, NY-based comedian Stavros Halkias is helping him be brave by putting together a show of his artworks created this past year. Join the Halkias brothers and check out Welcome To Hell, an art exhibition.

God Couldn’t be Everywhere …That’s Why He Made Momma: Lendl Tellington & Salome Sykes Exhibition

As they realize they could lose their matriarch's home, Salome Sykes and Lendl Tellington turn the camera on their great-grandmother and her nine descendants in order to preserve their family’s legacy. As the brother and sister interview kinfolk, sift through albums, and wade through a century of family furniture, they reimagine these elements as a collection of sensory-driven installations, photography, and cinematic vignettes inspired by generational memories and revelations.
