Essential Tease instructors Jacqueline Boxx, Ruby Rockafella, and Tempete La Coeur are proud to welcome a bevy of brand-spanking-new burlesque performers to the stage! After completing an 8-week-long workshop that transformed them from the inside out, these students are ready to bring their acts and assets to the stage for the first time ever! Featuring guest MC Sitara Sin and special performances by Essential Tease instructors! The show will stream virtually as well as being live on stage!
Black Assets was born Ashley Yates from Itta Bena, Mississippi. She is the representation of the new era of fun, soul, rock and RnB music. We welcome Black Assets back to The Patterson for a headline gig, and the first in her new series "The Soul Stage" highlighting the future of Soul music in Baltimore by showcasing new and upcoming soul, funk, indie artists from the Baltimore scene. Soul music changed the world! Artists like Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Dwele, Musiq Soul Child, India Arie, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross and more touched the hearts of countless people around the globe for decades, also making a huge impact in hip hop music via sample culture. It brought harmonies and rifts to rock music, and has been the soundtrack to many of our favorite movies. With the impact that it has had on her life, Black Assets wants to bring the soul back to the Charm City and trail blaze a lane for it here in Baltimore by amplifying critical local voices.
Join the parade! Parade leaves from Patterson Park Pulaski Monument (Between Eastern Ave. & S. Linkwood Ave.) and walks along Eastern Ave. to Creative Alliance (3134 Eastern Ave.). El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican celebration that honors deceased family members with a colorful, exciting, traditional celebration. The CIELO department is happy to bring this annual holiday to Baltimore to remember our loved ones who passed away but stay in our hearts. So, dress up, paint your face, and join us for a family procession with the gigantic Catrin and Catrina puppets, a Mariachi band, and neighbors to walk from Patterson Park to Creative Alliance! Artesanas welcome you with homemade hot chocolate and pan del Día de los Muerto (Day of the Dead bread). Continue celebrating El Día de los Muertos with performances, live music, costume contests, making traditional art work with the Artesanas, and more!
Scrapple, a unique and beloved American dish with roots stretching back to Pennsylvania Dutch traditions, gets a celebration all its own at Scrapple Fest! This mouthwatering event combines the rich history of scrapple with a night full of food, film, and fun. Our caterer transforms our curated gallery into a nostalgic church hall, evoking the warmth and charm of community gatherings.
The Third Annual Irish Tenor Banjo Summit takes over Creative Alliance on November 15th and 16th! Join us for a full weekend of dancing, performances, and workshops celebrating traditional Irish music. The brunch, talks, and sessions on November 17 to cap the weekend will take place at the Green Room in Hampden. Full festival passes are available as well as tickets to individual events.
Alison Crockett is a WAMMIE-AWARD-WINNING multi-talented singer, songwriter and pianist who grew up spending long nights entranced by her father’s extensive record collection. Tonight, she recreates one of those albums: Echoes of an Era.
In the late 1960s, taking their cue from American rock bands like The Byrds, The Band, and The Flying Burrito Brothers, who had forged American roots music with rock and roll, British bands like Fairport Convention and The Pentangle began to do the same with their own folk music roots. What blossomed from this in the early 1970s was a British folk-rock boom, with acts such as Steeleye Span, John Martyn, Nick Drake, and many more joining the fray, and succeeding in making their mark not only in Britain but also on the US music scene.
The community is invited to join a singing candle-lit procession through the streets of Highlandtown starting at Creative Alliance and stopping by local businesses until arriving at Our Lady of Pompei Church. The night ends with a fiesta, traditional food, performances, raffles, and piñata breaking to celebrate that all of us are welcome here!
Brought to you by local burlesque powerhouses Jacqueline Boxx and Ruby Rockafella, Glitter Ball is a celebration of everything that glitters, shimmers, and shines! This explosion of sparkle features TWO stages of burlesque and variety entertainment, headlined by NYC's own "Sin in an Hourglass," Medianoche; a Sparkle Market with jewelry, hair flowers, and more; photo ops with stunning backdrops; and a glimmering dance party to finish out the extravaganza. Both bars are open throughout the night, serving dazzling cocktails and mocktails!

He died at the age of 29, on New Year's 1953, leaving behind a legacy of songs and performances that will not be forgotten. In the six years of his recording career, Hank Williams songs created the definition of the perfect country song. This popular show brings together an all-star cast of friends who get together just once a year to celebrate the songs of a country music idol.
This January, the 14th Annual Elvis' Birthday Fight Club is "all shook up '' with "Elvis" welcoming a NEW co-host to the commentators box. Audiences will get even more of the unexpected in this glamorously sleazy evening of combat. Seven blistering rounds of cartoon-like violence and below-the-belt comedy are interspersed with Elvis-themed burlesque, creating the underground fight club's magical mix of flim-flam fisticuffs and hot tah-tahs! Creative Alliance's inaugural performing artist in residence, tap dancer and vocalist, Brinae Ali, and her bandmates of the Baltimore Jazz Collective celebrate the life and legacy of Baltimore's greatest tap dancer: Baby Laurence (February 24, 1921-April 2, 1974). Baby Laurence was the first tap dancer to record a jazz album—Dancemaster (recorded in 1959, released in 1977). Brinae will be sharing works in progress that reimagine his music, as well as original compositions and choreography. The Baby Laurence Legacy Project is supported by NEFA's National Dance Projects, Johns Hopkins University Billie Holiday Center for Liberation Arts, and Peabody Jazz & BFA Dance Department.
Nicknamed “The Caribbean Patti Smith” by The Guardian, Moonlight Benjamin plays powerful and original music blending Caribbean Vodou melodies and 70s blues rock inspired by Dr John, Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys, and Oumou Sangaré. Creative Alliance presents Moonlight Benjamin’s new performance, Wayo, which is a spellbinding cry of pain showcasing her thundering vocals and lyrical themes on faith, energy, and our connection to the source. These new songs from Haiti’s Vodou priestess delve deep, immersing her philosophical messages in heavy blues rapture; killer riffs; and hand-clapping, foot-stomping percussion.
