Delve into a lost practice dating back over 4500 years. Led by Robert Cole, learn the traditional practices of the eastern woodlands by working with shells, rocks, and other natural materials to craft traditional wampum.
The use of light has been a creative power wielded by artists for centuries. Through a contemporary lens artists Neville Barbour and Joe Gerlak utilize their skills in various mediums to delight the audience with their artistic vision. Barbour draws on ambient light within his charcoal and graphite drawings on a painted surface. His work explores hyperrealities that often leave audiences viewing the work as photographic. Gerlak explores plexiglass as a medium and a muted color palette to manipulate visible and perceived light. Together Barbour and Gerlak are a pair with diverse perspectives and a bold vision.

Join the parade! Parade leaves from Patterson Park Pulaski Monument (Between Eastern Ave. & S. Linkwood Ave.) and walks along Eastern Ave. to Creative Alliance (3134 Eastern Ave.). El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican celebration that honors deceased family members with a colorful, exciting, traditional celebration. The CIELO department is happy to bring this annual holiday to Baltimore to remember our loved ones who passed away but stay in our hearts. So, dress up, paint your face, and join us for a family procession with the gigantic Catrin and Catrina puppets, a Mariachi band, and neighbors to walk from Patterson Park to Creative Alliance! Artesanas welcome you with homemade hot chocolate and pan del Día de los Muerto (Day of the Dead bread). Continue celebrating El Día de los Muertos with performances, live music, costume contests, making traditional art work with the Artesanas, and more!
Free Baltimore Yoga is a safe space grounded in community movement. Our sessions aim to be accessible trauma-informed, nervous system focused, and breath centered.

Newly renovated, the wall-to-wall glass doors invite the outside in, creating a panorama of surrounding gardens, fields, and woods. Take in their collection of art posters, paintings (several by local artists), a new dining table (made by local woodworker, Kate Christian), and beautiful artisan light fixtures. Meet interdisciplinary artist Bridget Parlato for an environmentally inspired exhibition including poetry readings, upcycled jewelry and cause-related art. Attendees will be able to purchase jewelry just in time for the holidays! Enjoy BBQ from the famous York Road BBQ joint, Andy Nelson’s, and soak in the bucolic atmosphere of the county.

The event features programming and two short documentary films that chronicle the lives of Mexican restaurateurs living in Baltimore (Jose Vargas) and in New Orleans (Ivan Castillo). From their work as street vendors to building community through their food traditions, Jose and Ivan have each taken unique approaches to carve their own niches in these urban places.
This monthly program shares ways to meet the challenges of daily life by staying connected to our choices without reacting to people and situations. This is an opportunity to discover well-being within your body and mind regardless of your situation. On alternating months, the program will be conducted in Spanish.
Share in the art of cooking indigenous Apache southwest cuisine, while Judy Tallwing interweaves the process of cooking with personal stories from the indigenous community. For families: This class occurs at the same time as the Indigenous Arts class for children, for a memorable cultural experience for the whole family!
Led by Ms. Chief Rocka, introduce your kids to the traditional Native American art and practice of hoop dancing. Through playful movement and deep storytelling, students learn the rich history of this practice and work together to honor this tradition as an expressive and thoughtful ensemble.

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
