Improv for All!

Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy with two skilled and supportive instructors. We'll play some very silly games, learn how to create characters, explore techniques to collaborate and create as a team, and even perform full improvised scenes together!Of course, you won't be facing this new experience alone - you'll be learning these new skills with a team of new improvisers, and by the end you'll be ready to put on a showcase for your friends, family, and fans!

Traditional Wampum

Delve into a lost practice dating back over 4500 years. Led by Robert Cole, learn the traditional practices of the eastern woodlands by working with shells, rocks, and other natural materials to craft traditional wampum.

Banking and Budgeting Basics

Join us for banking & budgeting basics, part of the Bank on your success program at Truist. This interactive session will show you how to choose a bank account, and assemble a budget that will serve your goals for years to come.

Indigenous Apache Cooking

Share in the art of cooking indigenous Apache southwest cuisine, while Judy Tallwing interweaves the process of cooking with personal stories from the indigenous community. For families: This class occurs at the same time as the Indigenous Arts class for children, for a memorable cultural experience for the whole family!

Indigenous Arts for Kids: Kids Hoop Dancing

Led by Ms. Chief Rocka, introduce your kids to the traditional Native American art and practice of hoop dancing. Through playful movement and deep storytelling, students learn the rich history of this practice and work together to honor this tradition as an expressive and thoughtful ensemble.

The Second Annual Irish Tenor Banjo Summit

The The Second Annual Irish Tenor Banjo Summit takes over Creative Alliance on November 17th and 18th! Join us for a full weekend of dancing, performances, and workshops celebrating traditional Irish music. Full festival passes are available as well as tickets to individual events.

Painted Screens Workshop w/ Michael Seipp

Painted screens are a unique Baltimore folk art. This workshop will include a short film on the history of the painted screen and the early painted screen artists, a demonstration of the painted screen technique, and painting a small screen. Multiple painting options will be available.

Mud To Music en Español

In this hands-on workshop we will learn about musical instruments that have been made across Central and South America for thousands of years and learn to build our own working clay flutes.

Ending the Silence: Free Mental Wellness Workshop

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) brings their Ending the Silence wellness workshop to Creative Alliance for children and guardians. This 90-minute program provides families and caregivers with resources to navigate supporting a friend, family member, or student experiencing a mental health condition.

Fused Glass Ornaments

Learn the art of fused glass with artist Viki Keating. Place and layer glass scraps to create a unique holiday ornament of your own fabulous design. Ornaments will be fired in a kiln and will be ready for pickup one week after the workshop.

Fall Pickling Party!

We can pickle that! Baltimore chef and owner of Ella’s Pickled Produce, Keith Curley, teaches you the ins and outs pickling produce. Learn some basic ways to prepare vegetables with uniquely flavored pickling brines and enjoy your harvest all year long! All produce and supplies for pickling provided!

The Twelve(ish) dishes of Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Feast Day of Our Lady Guadalupe/Boxing Day! Looking to knock it out of the park with a perfect holiday meal? These elevated sides will make it one to remember. Baltimore chef and owner of Ella’s Pickled Produce, Keith Curley, covers a royal holiday spread: glazed sweet potatoes, apple and sausage stuffing, classic whipped potatoes, maple roasted brussels sprouts, herb turkey gravy, and local apple cobbler. We're not saying the holidays are a competition, but you're definitely going to win this year.

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
