Join in and learn sewing machine fundamentals in this accessible and crafty November class series! Hit your creative flow through improvisational fabric piecing, a time-honored method that can help you flow past creative barriers and find your unique style.

No patterns here! Work from short prompts and exercises, making creative decisions one step at a time! Over the three sessions, create either a wall-hanging or panel to incorporate into their future sewn creations, while also contributing to a collaborative artwork with the group.

While the workshops will be inclusive of beginners, sewists of all experience levels who are interested in the improv method are welcome!

Instructor Bio
Susan Tuberville is a community-based artist, educator, and maker. She loves co-creating experiences with others, finding joy in the process of making or transforming objects, spaces, and connections. Much of her personal artwork draws on themes of memory and play, primarily through fibers and mixed media. Susan holds a visual art teaching certification and MFA in Community Art, and facilitates artmaking experiences for community groups around Baltimore and Maryland.
