In this enriching and therapeutic workshop, craft your own book to house your personal stories, Intertwining art and storytelling to create a unique experience. Join CA resident artist FAITH and renowned Baltimore poet and educator Unique Robinson on a journey of self-expression, storytelling, and healing through the arts of handmade bookmaking and creative writing.

About the exhibition:
HAVE FAITH is an innovative solo exhibition and community programming by Creative Alliance Artist-in-Residence FAITH McCorkle that invites viewers to embark on an immersive journey into the depths of faith, exploring its intricate, layered connections to the themes of life, death, and personal power. Through a network of immersive soundscapes and installations, poetry, and symbolic visuals, this exhibition and programming aims to evoke a sense of rebirth and spiritual awakening while reflecting on the past lives we carry within us.
Instructor Bio
Unique Robinson is a poet/MC, professor, community educator, host, and proud Baltimore native. Her work engages the power of language to transmute systemic harm. Robinson is a lifelong activist, with over 20 years of performance experience, working within communities to promote change through creativity. Robinson currently serves as Director of the MFA Community Arts Program at MICA, and a facilitator of writing workshops with intergenerational communities throughout Maryland. Unique has released a variety of books, zines, short films, and musical projects, which are available on streaming platforms. Her latest book of poetry, (not) in service, published by homie house press, was released in early 2024.
FAITH McCorkle is a visionary transdisciplinary artist and cultural producer, channeling resilience and reconstruction through storytelling and collage. FAITH’s work spans papermaking, printmaking, immersive soundscapes, and curatorial projects, serving as vessels for the deep interconnectedness of divine guidance, transformative healing, and powerfull resilience. Through offerings of immersive programming, activations, and culinary experiences, FAITH also fosters Black restoration and community that guide personal and collective growth. FAITH is one half of the artist collective Hope and Faith ♡, formed with twin sister HOPE. Their collective work uses collage elements and Black ritual as tools to reconstruct the Black narrative, creating stories that honor the Black mother, spirit, soul food, and childlike wonder. FAITH holds a BFA in Studio Art from New York University and has received numerous awards, including a prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship and a 2024 Andy Warhol Foundation’s GritFund Grant, and is currently an artist-in-residence at Creative Alliance.
