A livelier life drawing event, Dr. Sketchy’s is where artists of all levels draw fabulous burlesque and variety performers! Enjoy delicious cocktails and a performance by the model, and compete in zany drawing contests to win free drinks and other awesome prizes! We’ll start off with quick 1- and 2-minute gesture poses and gradually move up to 20-minute sketches. No drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials—and cash tips for our model—and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!
Our April muse will be the stunning Fox Martin! We’re excited to finally have this amazing performer at our Sketchy’s; not only do they have several years of experience in burlesque and modeling for photographers, but they are also a long-time traveling art model.
More About Fox
This nonbinary beauty has been blazing through the burlesque world for over a decade. Hailing from the DMV, you can also find them climbing poles, in front of a camera, or behind a glitter goatee—but on April 13, they’ll be at Creative Alliance to shake a little something just for you. They’re an animal by trade, but a babe on the stage —the irresistibly, irresponsible, Fox Martin.
Enjoy a delicious cocktail or three and join in our crazy drawing contests for a chance to win some free booze and other neat prizes! No drawing experience is necessary—just remember to bring your own drawing materials, and be ready to generously tip our model!
***Mask policy update: Starting with this session, masks will no longer be required at Dr. Sketchy’s (unless there’s another surge, or a model requests that we require masks at their session). We still recommend that our attendees wear a mask when not actively consuming a beverage.***
Doors at 6:30—show up early to get a good seat! 18+ to draw, 21+ to drink.
BYO drawing supplies. No photography or messy paints, please (watercolors are fine).
