As we celebrate Pride in Baltimore, this edition of Mortified features childhood and adolescent diaries, poetry, etc., exploring sexual and gender identity, coming out, and other LGBTQ+ stories. Hailed as a “cultural phenomenon” by Newsweek, this is a comic excavation of the strange and extraordinary things we created as teens.

Essential Tease instructors Jacqueline Boxx, Ruby Rockafella, and Tempete La Coeur are proud to welcome a bevy of brand-spanking-new burlesque performers to the stage! After completing an 8-week-long workshop that transformed them from the inside out, these students are ready to bring their acts and assets to the stage for the first time ever!

Black Assets returns with a special summer edition of A Soul Stage. This edition will be a special celebration of the soulful R&B style blending hip-hop, jazz, opera, and spoken word of Jill Scott, and the 25th anniversary of her first album, the masterpiece that is “Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol.1”.

Hoesy Corona (Baltimore, MD) is a Latinx Queer artist of Mexican descent creating uncategorized and multidisciplinary art spanning installation, performance, and sculpture. In the studio, Hoesy’s work highlights the complex relationship between humans and the environment by focusing on our changing climate and its impact on habitation and migration patterns. Climas Malsanos brings together a diverse collection of works from the artist’s Climate Immigrants (2017-Present) series that highlights the complex relationship between humans and the environment by focusing on our changing climate and its impact on habitation and migration patterns.
