Art To Dine For 2023

Art To Dine For Header

Dear Art To Dine For Fans!

The 24th season of the Creative Alliance’s Art To Dine For series is kicking off! For almost a quarter of a century, the creative community of Baltimore has joined together for this legendary series of events where people come together to create and celebrate our community with art, music, and delicious food. This year we are excited to offer 22 events in locations throughout Baltimore, from a Texas Honky Tonk Barn dance in Butler, MD to an Aperitivo All‘italiana with opera performance in Bolton Hill. The range of events for this season is our most diverse yet!

Every ticket purchased directly supports Creative Alliance’s free arts education and community programs that serve Baltimore students and their families.

Sincerely,
The Art To Dine For Committee

Katie Pumphrey is a Baltimore artist and former Creative Alliance artist-in-residence (2011-14). Her paintings, sculptures, and installations use abstraction and imagery to explore the tensions and the connectedness between human instincts and play. Her works have been exhibited in galleries across the US, including solo exhibitions in Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Key West. In 2009, she graduated from the Maryland Institute College of art with a BFA in Painting. In addition to the Creative Alliance, she has attended residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, Studios of Key West, and Gallery Four. Pumphrey is also an ultra-marathon open water swimmer, with notable swims including the English Channel (2015, 2022), around the island of Manhattan (2017), and the Catalina Channel (2018)— those three swims make up the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. Her work is deeply connected to this aspect of her life, and her experiences in the water greatly influence and drive her work.
