We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than opening all our doors, so you, your family, friends, and neighbors can dance, eat, create, and explore throughout the day! Get crafty with the Artesanas in the beautiful storefront classroom, watch cooking demonstrations from many countries in the teaching kitchen, and pop into a salsa, capoeira, or hip-hop lesson in the dance studio. The historic Patterson, with its bright and shiny refinished marquee, is also open! Listen to Sidewalk Serenades in the BUS stop, grab a cocktail in the Marquee Lounge, visit the exhibitions, and meet our NEW Resident Artists in their studios. There’s even free hot chocolate!
Made In Baltimore is partnering with the Highlandtown Arts District to host a holiday night market on Friday, December 2nd from 4-9pm. Beacon of Light is an exhibition highlighting the quilting circle, Angel Quilters—comprising both seasoned and novice quilters— who are shining a light on the color and splendor of life. They hail from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and they eagerly offer their creative artistry in mixed media. These artist and quilters evoke expressions of cultural pride, humanity, resilience, faith, kindred ties, encouragement, inspiration, and a united voice echoing hope in challenging times.
Over the last two years, Paula Gately Tillman has photographed Baltimore visual artists in their studios and alongside their art. This is not the first time Gately Tillman has turned her camera to documenting a creative community in depth. From the mid 1980s to late 1990s, the artist was embedded in the counterculture scenes of Atlanta and New York, capturing the beautiful irreverence of an array of pioneering musicians, as well as punk entrepreneurs Tish and Snooky Bellomo of the Manic Panic hair color line, and LGBTQ+ icons in the making, Nelson Sullivan and RuPaul.
Christopher J. Chester and Micah E. Wood are longtime collaborators in design and photography in Baltimore, MD. Upon meeting in 2014, they bonded over their studies of design and photography at MICA and their love for music. Music is the connecting force of their friendship. 'Scene Seen' explores the Station North music scene between 2016 and 2022 from their perspective through photography and poster design. Baltimore has been known as a music poster city dating back to the 1960s with Globe Posters and continues that legacy.

Referencing indigenous ceremonies and elemental processes and incorporating found and organic materials, including her hair, MJ Neuberger’s interactive and light-based installations and sculptural and image-based works acknowledge shared vulnerability and suggest reconnection with an indigenous, nature-based self as a path toward integrating trauma stemming from race and gender-based violence and broader cultural aggression.
Seung Jun Lee seeks naturality in the digitally polluted lifestyle, translating experiences that intertwine reality and media culture into metamorphic forms.
