Youth Against Guns – Teen Council Presentation

“Youth Against Guns” is a variety arts show created by the 2023 Creative Alliance Teen Council as part of the Youth Works Summer Program. The Show brings to light the problems youth and our community face with gun violence. Teen Council is passionate about bringing change to gun violence through the arts as it affects our friends, family, neighbors, and community members. Spreading the word throughout our community is key to creating a peaceful Baltimore. Teen Council hopes to push this catalyze to ignite into something that changes the view of Baltimore from constant violence and suffering into a place known for its beauty, culture, and history.

God Couldn’t be Everywhere …That’s Why He Made Momma: Lendl Tellington & Salome Sykes Exhibition

As they realize they could lose their matriarch's home, Salome Sykes and Lendl Tellington turn the camera on their great-grandmother and her nine descendants in order to preserve their family’s legacy. As the brother and sister interview kinfolk, sift through albums, and wade through a century of family furniture, they reimagine these elements as a collection of sensory-driven installations, photography, and cinematic vignettes inspired by generational memories and revelations.

Little Amal comes to Baltimore!

On Saturday, September 16th, 2023 we meet in the Patterson Park Annex (the Little Park) to welcome Little Amal to Baltimore and show her a home away from home. Join us as she meets new friends, shares her story, and experiences the beauty of Latin American culture that is thriving here in Charm City!

Little Amal is the 12 foot puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee child. She has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees. This September, Creative Alliance is honored to be a stop on Little Amal's journey.

This special Tianquiztli Market celebrates Latin American Heritage! We close the street in front of Creative Alliance for a celebration of Latin American flavors, art, music, and traditions that have been passed down through the generations and are treasured here in Baltimore. We are putting together a large troupe of stilt walkers to walk together wearing illuminated costumes in the Great Halloween Lantern Parade. If you stilt walk already, we would love for you to be there with us! If you have always wanted to learn to stilt walk, we will be hosting workshops and meetups to learn and to practice. If you would rather not walk stilts and support us with your two feet on the ground, we would love for you to join us on the ground support team!

The Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival – 2023

Once the sun sets, the magic begins. The night animals of our beautiful Patterson Park parade through the night surrounded by bright and beautiful music. Everyone is welcome to grab a lantern and march with thousands of neighbors, artists, musicians, and performers. Many more line the parade route to watch the delightful Great Halloween Lantern Parade winds through the night!!

CIELO Presents: Día de los Muertos

Join the parade! Parade leaves from Patterson Park Pulaski Monument (Between Eastern Ave. & S. Linkwood Ave.) and walks along Eastern Ave. to Creative Alliance (3134 Eastern Ave.). El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican celebration that honors deceased family members with a colorful, exciting, traditional celebration. The CIELO department is happy to bring this annual holiday to Baltimore to remember our loved ones who passed away but stay in our hearts. So, dress up, paint your face, and join us for a family procession with the gigantic Catrin and Catrina puppets, a Mariachi band, and neighbors to walk from Patterson Park to Creative Alliance! Artesanas welcome you with homemade hot chocolate and pan del Día de los Muerto (Day of the Dead bread). Continue celebrating El Día de los Muertos with performances, live music, costume contests, making traditional art work with the Artesanas, and more!

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
