Monthly Juggling Jam: All Levels

Whether you're a seasoned pro with chainsaws and large cats or a juggling newcomer who sometimes struggles with just catching a break, all are welcome at Creative Alliance's new monthly juggling jam! In this all-levels program, come ready to practice, play, and pal around with area jugglers, juggling enthusiasts, and people who are just too cool to *not* be in the jam. Fundamentals instruction available for newcomers in this accessible and joyful juggling jamboree!

Join BmoreTrivia in the Marquee Lounge to test your knowledge of everything! Free Community Pilates w/ Shayla Thomas

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that strengthens your entire body using precise movements and controlled breathing, emphasizing spinal alignment to enhance core strength, flexibility, and posture for all fitness levels. Pilates also promotes relaxation and mindfulness, leaving you feeling energized and balanced. Come with your mat and discover how pilates can transform your mind and body! Can You Brush It? Introduction to Modern Pen Calligraphy

Have you been interested in calligraphy but aren’t sure how to get started? Join Brittany DeNovellis from Novel Letter Studio for an introduction to fundamentals of modern calligraphy, using a brush pen. This 2-part workshop series will teach you about the supplies you can use, the basic shapes you need to know to get started, and how to combine those shapes into letters and words. After the class, you’ll take home your workbook and pens for your ongoing practice.

Learning to Live Fully: Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

This monthly program shares ways to meet the challenges of daily life by staying connected to our choices without reacting to people and situations. This is an opportunity to discover well-being within your body and mind regardless of your situation. On alternating months, the program will be conducted in Spanish.

The 4th Annual Black Choreographers Festival

The Black Choreographers Festival is a weekend celebrating the talented Black choreographers in Baltimore. Shake Out Your Sillies

Shake out your sillies with song, nursery rhymes, puppet shows, instruments, and, of course, a dance party! Each class begins with a breathing exercise before transitioning into music and movement activities. Taught by Eliza Adams, a Maryland preschool teacher and musician, this class is designed for children 5 and under. Caretakers are welcome to join or watch!

Free Baltimore Yoga is a safe space grounded in community movement. Our sessions aim to be accessible trauma-informed, nervous- system -focused, and breath- centered. Class from May through October will take place outside in Patterson Park! All ages!

Mindful Mandalas w/ Mansi Yaduka

This mindful mandala class will let the students unwind through creative expression using an ancient Indian form of meditation. Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which an array of symbols, shapes and forms emanate.

Our Printable World: Found Object Printmaking

Come explore the textures that surround us as we use non-traditional and found objects for printmaking. Learn the basics of printmaking technique and vocabulary while gaining a whole new perspective on everyday objects. Among other materials, we will be printing from fruits, vegetables, metal and foam. This experience will open your eyes to the printable potential of the world around us as well as give you space and opportunity to create something truly unique.

Classical Figure Drawing w/ Lauren Carlo

This drop-in figure drawing course is suitable for all skill levels. Untrained new artists will learn multiple approaches to figure drawing while seasoned artists will have the opportunity to hone their skills and further train their eye. Each class will feature a nude model and begin with quick gesture poses. The remaining time will be spent on the artistry of longer poses. The goal is to train all artists to more quickly and fluidly capture the gesture of the entire figure.

Handmade Papercutting Patterns w/ Annie Howe

Papercut artist Annie Howe teaches the basic technique of papercutting and how to create your very own custom papercut patterns in this hands-on workshop. Participants will work towards completing at least one finished papercut design and will gain the know-how to continue papercutting at home.

Artesanas Table: Picaditas Perfections

Join Creative Alliance's Artesanas for continent-spanning cuisine rendezvous on the last Friday of every month. Sign up either individually or bring a partner and forge an exquisite meal from scratch, with Latin and South American recipes recipes and culinary skills! After strutting your stuff, finish off with a full shared meal with your new culinary compatriots in this joyful, enlightening Friday evening experience.

Hula Hoop: All Levels

Join globetrotting circus artist Andie Mars for a special hula hoop workshop just in time for the Great Halloween Lantern Parade! Learn epic tricks and creative sequencing, with choreography suitable for all levels that gets you into your bodies, exploring elements of dance, and feeling good with hoops!

The Art of Herbs: Four Thieves Vinegar

Delve into Four Thieves Vinegar, a legendary herbal remedy with a rich past. As Bettina Perry relates the historical origins and modern applications, learn the key ingredients and glean the properties, uses, and benefits of each component. Discover how to incorporate Four Thieves Vinegar into your daily life, from culinary uses to household cleaning and natural health remedies. Each session ends with creating your own custom Four Thieves Vinegar blend to take home!

Queer Climate Cabaret: Climate, Queerness, and Performance 101

The climate crisis and the rise of anti-queer sentiments and actions can stimulate fear and anxiety. They are also an invitation to mend, tend, and befriend our relationship to our own bodies and the earth, who supports our lives even in her own state of woundedness, and an invitation to get creative, think and act differently. Join us in Patterson Park for a grounding and centering session with Michele, your own body, and some beautiful Baltimore trees. Back in the studio at the Creativity Center, Jacob takes us through an overview of his work uniting drag and queer ecology and a printmaking experience that will leave you with some take-home art! Nigel rounds out Workshop 1 with an overview of sustainability practices in theatre and performance and devising exercises that integrate and synthesize elements of the workshop.

Clay for Everyone w/ Bmore Clay Series

BMORE CLAY is now at Creative Alliance. We are excited to extend to this location. Thank you for being a part of our clay community! BCS is a Black and queer-led program created to present an alternative to predominantly white ceramic spaces and provide work opportunities with clay. We host accessible, diverse, intro to handbuilding workshops created for communities of color in Baltimore. This workshop is open to everyone.

Fundamentals of Improv: Level 2 w/ Highwire Improv

Over six weeks, you will develop the core skills needed to host and perform a professional showcase of improv comedy. Highwire Improv's expert instructors will be with you every step of the way, holding the space to make silly choices, explore comedy, and learn how to create art together. By the end of the class, you will be an ensemble ready to host and put on a full student showcase!

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
