Dance Baltimore Movie Night: Dirty Dancing

Celebrating Dance Baltimore's 20th anniversary, it's Dirty Dancing! Be a part of the on-screen story with Johnny Castle and Baby (otherwise known as Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey) while participating in games, contests, audience talk backs, dance offs, costumes, and more. Can I Kick It? Escape from New York

Can I Kick It? events take cult classics and contemporary martial arts/action favorites and LIVE scores the film with a blend of genres such as hip hop, soul, and funk.

NYAM: Film Screening

Retji, a filmmaker Living in America, wants to reconnect with his African Roots. He goes on a journey back home to Nigeria to learn about his ethnic group, Mupun. Speaking to elders and historians around him, he explores his ancestry and lineage, meditating on scientific findings and oral traditions. His journey unpacks mysteries about the Nok civilization, one of West Africa's earliest complex civilizations.

Marquee Lounge Movie Night – Better Off Dead

Welcome to Marquee Lounge Movie Nights! Cozy up in Creative Alliance's Marquee Lounge, enjoy our brand new cocktail and spirit-free menu, shove some popcorn in your face, and watch a flick with friends. This month, we're screening Better Off Dead, a 1985 American black comedy film written and directed by Savage Steve Holland. It stars John Cusack as high school student Lane Myer, who becomes suicidal after his girlfriend breaks up with him shortly before Christmas. 

Tax Broke: Screening and Cultural Townhall

The documentary film by Real News Network investigative reporters Stephen Janis and Taya Graham probes Baltimore's use of special tax incentives that the reporters found have mostly benefitted the wealthy and worsened the economic and housing inequities in the city. Join Stephen Janis, Taya Graham, and Jayne Miller in conversation with Ashley Esposito of Baltimore Renters United as we discuss the film in detail and how you can be involved in making change in Baltimore! We will engage in a town hall dialog inspired by the movie, generated by you!

Free Family Sundays: Make a Beaded Portrait
Meet us in the Joseph Education Center Studio for a workshop inspired by the special exhibition Joyce J. Scott: Walk a Mile in My Dreams. Experiment with beads and wire to sculpt a portrait of yourself or a loved one! This workshop will be led by Quante Thomas and Susan Tuberville, guest instructors from Creative Alliance’s Kerplunk! program.

Buy your tickets online, in person, or over the phone by calling 410-276-1651. Members save $3 on almost every show!

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
