Join Highwire Improv for Embrace Spontaneity: Intro to Improv. This is a low-pressure, fun experience designed for newcomers, a fun-filled adventure that will unleash your creativity, boost your confidence, and ignite your sense of playfulness!

Led by our experienced and supportive instructors, this workshop is tailored to provide a safe and welcoming environment where you can step outside your comfort zone. Through interactive exercises and guided scenework, you’ll discover the joy of working together, building on each other’s ideas, and creating compelling scenes on the spot.

No prior experience in acting or improv is necessary. This workshop is specifically designed for individuals who are new to improv.

Instructor Bios:

Millie Hoffman (she/her) has been taking improv classes and performing since 2018. She performs regularly with Babeprov, David Bowie Improv, and a variety of special projects. A kindergarten teacher by day, she’s enthusiastic about bringing the joy of ‘play’ to all!

Jenny Kessler (she/her) has been practicing, performing, coaching, and facilitating improv since 2018. She is a brand strategist by day and a comedy goblin by night. She loves helping others experience the magic of play through improv, doing watercolor paintings when she travels, and exploring the DMV food scene. She’s known for using big emotions on and off stage, and has experience with the Harold, Deconstruction, La Ronde, Montage, and Musical improv.
