CIELO presents a singing candle-lit procession & celebration!
PROCESSION: Meet at Creative Alliance: 3134 Eastern Ave.
Walk to Lady of Pompei Church: 3600 Claremont St, Baltimore, MD 21224
The word posada means “shelter” or “inn” in Spanish. The tradition of the Posada recreates the Bible story of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem and their search for a place to stay. The community is invited to join a singing candle-lit procession through the streets of Highlandtown starting at Creative Alliance and stopping by local businesses until arriving at Our Lady of Pompei Church. The night ends with a fiesta, traditional food, performances, raffles, and piñata breaking to celebrate that all of us are welcome here!
Everyone is welcome to dress up as angels, pastors, or the Three Wise Men!

Caminamos hacia la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Pompei: 3600 Claremont St, Baltimore, MD 21224
La tradición de la Posada recrea la historia bíblica del viaje de María y José a Belén y su búsqueda de un lugar para quedarse. La comunidad está invitada a únanse a una procesión cantando a la luz de las velas por las calles de Highlandtown empezando en Creative Alliance y parando por negocios locales hasta llegar a la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Pompei.¡La noche termina con una fiesta, comida tradicional, presentaciones, rifas, y el rompimiento de piñatas para celebrar que todos somos bienvenidos aquí!
¡Todos están invitados a vestirse de angelitos, pastorcitos, o los tres reyes magos!
