For half of the day, join School of Magic Arts, one of the only 365 days-a-year stage magic schools in the world, for a half-day workshop on Mental Magic! We’ll be focusing on amazing illusions in which the magician appears to have supernatural powers of the brain. By the end of the session, students will be able to perform tricks that display ESP and even predict the future! Fair warning: minds will be blown.

In the other half, join one of Creative Alliance’s own Artesanas in whipping up another kind of magic in our teaching kitchen. Food is life and food is liberation! Students will learn cooking techniques and how to make dishes that wow and delight. Grab your chef hat, put on your apron, and experience the joy and empowerment of making tasty, wholesome food.

Organization Bios

School of Magic Arts has been operating since 2017, and has taught hundreds of students across North America. Our goal is to teach, elevate, and share the art of stage magic with as many people as possible. As one of the only stage magic schools in the world, and possibly the only with a year-round, comprehensive curriculum, our community is growing every day. Our instructors are professional magicians with both formal and informal teaching backgrounds.

The Artesanas honor the artistic traditions of community members and immigrant educators of Latin American origin. By engaging youth in learning and preserving these cultures and traditions, the program focuses on passing knowledge along to future generations through art, music, dance, and cuisine.
