BURLESQUE 101
8:15 – 9:45pm | All LevelsStep into the world of classic burlesque — where glamour, history, and self-expression meet. In this introductory workshop, Aquarius Moon guides you through the foundational techniques of the art form while celebrating the rich legacy of burlesque performance. Students will cover classic bumps, grinds, and shimmies, the showgirl stance and stage presence, and how to strut like a true burlesque queen. Each session focuses on a signature technique and prop — come prepared!

September 29 | Burlesque 101: The Robe
What to Bring: An oversized button-up long sleeve shirt OR a kimono style robe. Come ready to layer up and peel it back.

October 27 | Burlesque 101: Glove Peels
What to Bring: A pair of gloves — any length, any color, any style. Don’t have a pair at home? No worries — gloves will be available to borrow or purchase on site.

November 17 | Burlesque 101: Boa Play
What to Bring: A feather boa. Don’t have one? We’ve got you covered — boas will be available to borrow or purchase on site.

December 15 | Burlesque 101: Intro to Burlesque Choreography
What to Bring: Comfortable clothing you can move in on the floor. Knee pads optional but recommended.

Heels Performance Classes and Burlesque 101

Why two workshops? Each Tuesday evening is designed as a complete experience — Heels Performance sets the foundation of stage presence and movement, while Burlesque 101 deepens the artistry. Together they give students a full introduction to the performance world we’re building at the Charm School of Burlesque. By offering two classes back to back, students get a full evening of training while building community with the same group of people every month — laying the groundwork for our upcoming 9-week intensive. Launching in 2027, the intensive will combine movement, lecture, and skill-based learning into a 2-3 hour weekly session designed for students who are ready to go deeper into the art form and the culture behind it.
