Kumihimo Braiding Workshop

Try the art of Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese art form of making braided cord. We’ll learn how to use a braiding disk to make a braid of eight strands, then we’ll learn a different technique to create an adjustable, slip-on bracelet. You’ll even be able to add a small charm if you like.

Your instructor, Rissa, is a retired educator, lifelong fiber enthusiast, and certified Journeyman weaver. Despite her parents’ best efforts, she still believes that everything is a toy.
