When is the official start of spooky season? It’s a hotly debated topic, and one we are here for. A chill has entered the air, it’s getting darker earlier, and Fall solstice approaches…so we say, light some candles, string up the cobwebs, order that pumpkin spice latte, and check out our Halloween programming! Start a new tradition, or carry on established ones. As always, we’ve got a huge variety of programming, and there is surely something for everyone, even if you’re only a tiny bit spooky!

Sugar Skulls with Artesanas/Calaveras de Azúcarcon las Artesanas
Join Creative Alliance’s Artesanas to celebrate Latinx culture! Sugar skulls and sugar art has been a tradition since the 17th century during the Day of the Dead celebrations. They’re created from homemade sugar paste, put into molds, then decorated and placed on real gravestones to honor the return of a spirit. It’s also a tradition that families will give sugar skulls as gifts, too. Come make your own sugar skulls! All supplies included.
