Creative Alliance is thrilled that former resident artist Paul Rucker is receiving massive, well-deserved attention for his work on dismantling the symbols of systemic racism, as featured in a new Ted Talk released in late June. Rucker is best heard in his own words in this talk, describing his interdisciplinary practice, and speaking directly about the modified robes that he first premiered at Creative Alliance in February 2015 during his seminal exhibition, REWIND.
Creative Alliance’s board and staff wish to pass on a huge congratulations to Paul, and we hope that you will watch his talk and share the video widely. Rucker’s star is only continuing to rise, and we could not be more proud that he developed much of this work through the Creative Alliance’s long-term Resident Artist program.
