Celebrate Caribbean and Latine/x talent with this exhibition where the vibrant pulse of Baltimore’s creative spirit meets the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture. Each artwork not only reflects the unique perspectives and experiences of Baltimore’s diverse communities but also celebrates the broader cultural influences that shape our city. Join us in honoring the burgeoning talent of the artists, whose work enriches our understanding of heritage, identity, and artistic determination. This is an initiative to uplift the deep-rooted traditions and the contemporary voices that contribute to the ever-evolving cultural landscape of Baltimore.

Walk On By: Baltimore-Rotterdam Exhibition & Artist Exchange

Creative Alliance, TENT Rotterdam, and Baltimore-Rotterdam Sister City Committee, present Walk On By: an exhibition and a cultural exchange that connects Black artists, their diverse experiences, and artwork, across the Atlantic. Explore the Black Atlantic through the diverse stories of local artists in the historical port cities of Baltimore and Rotterdam, through exhibitions in both countries and an exchange program.

Shake Out Your Sillies

Shake out your sillies with song, nursery rhymes, puppet shows, instruments, and, of course, a dance party! Each class begins with a breathing exercise before transitioning into music and movement activities. Taught by Eliza Adams, a Maryland preschool teacher and musician, this class is designed for children 5 and under. Caretakers are welcome to join or watch!

Community Yoga w/ Free Baltimore Yoga

Free Baltimore Yoga is a safe space grounded in community movement. Our sessions aim to be accessible trauma-informed, nervous- system -focused, and breath- centered. Class from May through October will take place outside in Patterson Park! All ages!

Art To Dine For 2024: Bites & Brushstrokes

Join Yogini Dahiwadkar for a three-hour lesson to demystify watercolor painting. In this hands-on workshop, Yogini, a painter and arts educator, teaches you how to paint with watercolors in a loose style. She also showcases several of her paintings and discusses different watercolor styles, from realism to abstract art. During breaks, enjoy a cooking demonstration and a feast of traditional Indian food paired with authentic chai tea. Take home your beautiful watercolor painting and the recipe for the meal to recreate the whole experience at home!

Join us for In the Medium, a new craft night at Creative Alliance in the Marquee Lounge! Gather with fellow artists, makers, and crafters to work on current projects or start something new. Art To Dine For 2024: Fast Cars & Collectibles

British car enthusiasts will be right home in this extraordinary garage designed for entertaining and admiring gorgeous M.G.s and Jaguars. The Lippert’s home is a beautifully renovated former butcher’s shop with preserved features from the original building. The garage is adorned with chandeliers and Persian rugs, with a treasure trove of sleek automobiles and top-notch kitsch. Bob Lippert shares how he became involved in collecting and what it takes to be successful in the hunt. This exclusive look into collecting British automobiles and paraphernalia combined with British-themed cuisine prepared by award-winning Chef Nancy Longo of Pierpoint is not to be missed.

Monthly Juggling Jam: All Levels

Whether you're a seasoned pro with chainsaws and large cats or a juggling newcomer who sometimes struggles with just catching a break, all are welcome at Creative Alliance's new monthly juggling jam! In this all-levels program, come ready to practice, play, and pal around with area jugglers, juggling enthusiasts, and people who are just too cool to *not* be in the jam. Fundamentals instruction available for newcomers in this accessible and joyful juggling jamboree!

Free Community Pilates w/ Shayla Thomas

Can You Brush It? Introduction to Modern Pen Calligraphy

Have you been interested in calligraphy but aren’t sure how to get started? Join Brittany DeNovellis from Novel Letter Studio for an introduction to fundamentals of modern calligraphy, using a brush pen. This 2-part workshop series will teach you about the supplies you can use, the basic shapes you need to know to get started, and how to combine those shapes into letters and words. After the class, you’ll take home your workbook and pens for your ongoing practice.

This monthly program shares ways to meet the challenges of daily life by staying connected to our choices without reacting to people and situations. This is an opportunity to discover well-being within your body and mind regardless of your situation. On alternating months, the program will be conducted in Spanish.

Art To Dine For 2024: Sanctuary of Sawdust

Enjoy a locally catered, sit-down dinner amid the art of Kelly Walker in the compelling architectural setting of Sandtown Furniture Company. Kelly uses a wide range of atypical material, pushing media past their intended purpose, encouraging them to collide and react. Her works are intricately layered, referencing graffiti, landscape, and color field. Evan Woodard of Salvage Arc discusses the history of the building and local art and crafts for sale.

The 4th Annual Black Choreographers Festival

The Black Choreographers Festival is a weekend celebrating the talented Black choreographers in Baltimore. Join us at Creative Alliance October 11-13 for dance performances, workshop dance classes, and a thought provoking Chat & Chew discussion. Drop-In Lantern Making

Create a glowing lantern for the 25th anniversary of The Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival! For 25 years  our community has been making our city shine, and we want to see you in the parade this year. Come make a you inspired lantern to celebrate 25 years of The Great Halloween Lantern Parade.  Bring your lantern back to our spectacular parade on Saturday, October 26th (rain date: October 27th), and shine bright through the night! All ages welcome, all supplies provided.

Mindful Mandalas w/ Mansi Yaduka

This mindful mandala class will let the students unwind through creative expression using an ancient Indian form of meditation. Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which an array of symbols, shapes and forms emanate.

Art To Dine For 2024: The Art of Pueblo Pottery

Paula Fernandes and Michael Donnenberg open their home to share a collection of Pueblo pottery amassed over the last 30 years by their friend and neighbor, Curt Decker. His collection showcases pieces from 12 of the 19 Pueblo tribes, including Acoma, Santa Domingo, Santa Clara, Hopi, San Ildefonso, and Tesuque, as well as several Anasazi pieces reflective of the early potters (around 1200 AD). Sizes range from small effigy of owls to large water vessels and many fine line painted vessels. Enjoy a homemade brunch as you peruse this unique and beautiful collection of Indigenous art.

Our Printable World: Found Object Printmaking

Come explore the textures that surround us as we use non-traditional and found objects for printmaking. Learn the basics of printmaking technique and vocabulary while gaining a whole new perspective on everyday objects. Among other materials, we will be printing from fruits, vegetables, metal and foam. This experience will open your eyes to the printable potential of the world around us as well as give you space and opportunity to create something truly unique.

Jennifer Hardy opens her home to showcase her collection of Maryland, Baltimore, and DMV visual artists, including Shinique Smith (Baltimore); David Driskell, Tawny Chatmon, and AfriCOBRA artist Frank Smith (Baltimore); and Elizabeth Catlett and Sam Gilliam (DMV). Her collection also includes Black and international artists like Kehinde Wiley, Radcliffe Bailey, and Joan Mitchell. Delight in classic Maryland bites and refreshments, including local wine and crabcakes surrounded by exceptional art!

Ukulele for Beginners w/ Bob Friedman

Come on back to one of Creative Alliance’s most popular ongoing class series! Knock the dust off that ol' uke, and join Bob Friedman in this beginner-friendly ukulele program. Each class is standalone and covers 8-10 songs per session. Register for all five for the full Ukxperience!

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
