Kith & Kin, A Rewilding of Sound and Form is an immersive and multisensory exhibition where sculptural ceramic instruments, musical compositions, and multimedia installations invite us to connect with the profound beauty of our living world and explore our relationships with the more-than-human beings who are our kin.
Focusing on the intersection of social unrest and artistic expression, this exhibition features the works of Devin Allen, Joe Giordano, and Paul Abowd. All three artists document the emotion, tension, and solidarity that defined the uprising and what took place in the aftermath, blending personal experiences with collective memory. The exhibition offers a vivid exploration of how art can both challenge and inspire change in jarring moments of societal shifts.
Los Pirañas is an instrumental supergroup blending Colombian rhythms with bold experimentalism. The trio—Eblis Alvarez (Meridian Brothers), Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero, Ondatropica), and Pedro Ojeda (Romperayo, Sidestepper)—have spent decades pushing boundaries while rooted in Bogota’s vibrant musical scene. Fusing cumbia, champeta, and tropicalia with avant-psych rock, dub minimalism, and spiked jazz, their sound is a kaleidoscopic exploration of past and future.
