I’ve Endured: Women of Old-Time Music Exhibition

Creative Alliance is honored to host "I've Endured: Women of Old Time Music" an exhibition presented at Birthplace of Country Music Museum in 2023. Originally created by a women-led content team the exhibition “I’ve Endured: Women in Old-Time Music” spotlights commercial success stories and iconic musicians like Mother Maybelle and Sara Carter, Ola Belle Reed, Elizabeth Cotten, Lily May Ledford, Hazel Dickens, Etta Baker, and Alice Gerrard.

Exhibition | Gathered Perspectives: Resident Artist Exhibition

See what the resident artists have been working on over the last year in a celebration of artistic practice. The exhibition "Gathered Perspectives" is a salon-style presentation of work from Ajee Hassan, Anna Divinagracia, Bria Sterling-Wilson, Candice Tavares, kolpeace, Hope and Faith McCorkle, and Huynh Trang.

LOW TICKET WARNING! Baby Laurence Legacy Project: Tracing Steps

Creative Alliance's inaugural performing artist in residence, tap dancer and vocalist, Brinae Ali, and her bandmates of the Baltimore Jazz Collective celebrate the life and legacy of Baltimore's greatest tap dancer: Baby Laurence (February 24, 1921-April 2, 1974). Baby Laurence was the first tap dancer to record a jazz album—Dancemaster (recorded in 1959, released in 1977). Brinae will be sharing works in progress that reimagine his music, as well as original compositions and choreography. The Baby Laurence Legacy Project is supported by NEFA's National Dance Projects, Johns Hopkins University Billie Holiday Center for Liberation Arts, and Peabody Jazz & BFA Dance Department.

Resident Artist Program 2025 Information Session & Open Studios

Do you have questions about Creative Alliance's Resident Artist Program? Join us on Saturday, February 22 from 4-5pm! You will have the opportunity to meet Joy Davis, Visual Art Director, as she takes you through the application process, the short answer section of the application, expectations of the residents, and answers your general questions. Afterwards, there is an opportunity to explore some of the resident artist studios from 5-6pm.

Our Box Office is currently open from Noon to 5pm on Tuesday thru Saturdays and one hour before all ticketed events. We accept cash, cards, and checks. Service fees are waived for in-person ticket purchases.
