The Old Part of Town: Inside Out Album Release w/ Letitia VanSant & Arty Hill

To celebrate the release of their fourth album, Inside Out, The Old Part of Town brings their singular blend of folk-rock, country-blues, and bluegrass to the Creative Alliance.

And to make it that much more of a special evening they’ll be joined by their friends, who will be doing sets of their own, folk singer-songwriter Letitia VanSant, and local honky-tonk king Arty Hill with guitarist Tim Pruitt!

With tight harmonies and a genuine, infectious on-stage camaraderie, The Old Part of Town features singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Matt Douglass and Sam Nitzberg, along with Brian Whaley on violin and vocals, Upright Dave Frieman on bass, and Steve Raskin on drums and percussion. Hosts of several tribute events on our stage over the years, their prior albums—2015’s The Old Part of Town, 2018’s Second Avenue, and 2021’s Something Special—feature top-notch songwriting and fascinating takes on some eclectic cover tunes. Expect to hear songs from all three albums along with their brand new material.
