Join us as we celebrate the release of the new book Heroes of the Haitian Revolution by publisher Thorobred Books featuring author Frantz Derenoncourt, Jr. and illustrator Kervin Andre.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we will have a special showcase of The Haitian Sheroes Art Exhibition, which features original paintings of our revered ancestors by talented artist Kervin Andre.
Hear stories of how Haiti became the first independent Black nation in the Americas and the men and women who fought, bled, and made the ultimate sacrifice.
This will be the second collaboration project by Frantz and Kervin who brought you Sheroes of the Haitian Revolution in 2019.
Come earlier in the day for a Haitian Kite Making Workshop presented by Armand Myrthil and Haitian cultural non-profit, Komite Ayiti, INC.
