Watercolor painting is hard to fix once you start. You can’t paint over a mistake. Every brush stroke stays on the page forever. That means each painting shows the artist’s real hand at work.

The Baltimore Watercolor Society started in 1885. It is one of the oldest watercolor groups in the country. Today it has more than 800 members. To become a Signature member, artists go through a judging process two times a year. The artists in this show have had their work shown in art shows across the region, the country, and the world.

This exhibit shows their newest paintings. There will be First, Second, and Third Place awards, plus three Honorable Mentions.
