Flim-flam fisticuffs make for a sexy and surreal celebration of The King’s birthday. This bizarre annual tradition is now in its 13th year. The knock-out production features seven elaborately staged bouts, Elvis-themed burlesque, and below-the-belt commentary from co-hosts “Elvis” and Kittie Glitter. While the annual fight roster is a closely guarded secret, past matches have included The Supreme Court vs. The Supremes, Freddie Mercury vs. The Queen of England, Bridezilla vs. Godzilla, Count Von Count vs. Count Chocula, Congress vs. a Clown, and Putin vs. a Unicorn.
The punch-drunk logic of Elvis’ Birthday Fight Club is that “Commodious” (The King’s toilet) is determined to make Elvis’ dying wish a reality: that people would not only celebrate his birthday with cake and quaaludes, but also with back-alley fisticuffs and “hot tah-tahs.” Commodious has assembled the best “Elvis” he could afford and scored him a hot sidekick, Kittie Glitter. These two hosts oversee a subversive, surreal, and silly annual braw to honor The King of Rock N Roll.
