Capoeira with Bohasha Porto

Capoeira is a dynamic Brazilian art form that blends self-defense, acrobatics, and dance. It helps improve balance, coordination, and physical strength while introducing participants to a different language and culture. Practiced with music and rhythm, Capoeira encourages learning through movement in an engaging and energetic way. Each class in this series is beginner-friendly and family-friendly, so bring the whole family and enjoy moving together!

Class: Sundays | Feb. 1 – Feb. 22 | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Age Range: 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Beginners welcome!

Cost: $20 per session, $17 members, 4-class pack $70

Materials: Comfortable dance, exercise or martial arts clothing. Socks or bare feet (no street shoes)

Instructor Bio:

Mestre Bohasha has been teaching capoeira in the U.S. since the early 2000s. Bohasha has extensive experience teaching diverse groups representing many ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds. In addition to teaching the martial art and dance aspects of capoeira, Bohasha is passionate about sharing the music, language and history of capoeira with his students. His skills and positive, energetic personality keeps his students engaged and motivated as they explore the beautiful art form of capoeira.
