Two art forms COLLIDE for Baltimore City school students! Taking place on the Baltimore City Public Schools professional development days, these camps are chock-full of SPECTACULAR arts for students in grades 3-8.

For half of the day, go Around the World with professional yoyo-er Abby Brodsky! Come learn the exciting, dynamic and fast-paced art of the yoyo—one of the World’s oldest toys! In this workshop, Abby will teach you how to bring the yoyo up and down, walk the dog, rock the baby and more! Anyone can learn with just a little patience and practice!

For the other half, join Baltimore Clayworks for a hands-on clay workshop. Learn basic clay terminology and hand-building skills to create form and texture, then leave with personal air-dry clay creations to take home and enjoy.

Cost: $60 standard, $55 members, $105 for two students

Instructor Bios

Abby Brodsky Is an award-winning professional yoyo-er with over a decade of experience. She has competed at both the national and world level for yoyo. She has placed 3rd in the 2018 US national yoyo contest and can be seen sharing the love of yoyo in the DMV and Baltimore area.

Baltimore Clayworks is a community-centered ceramics institution in Mt. Washington. Its mission is to develop, sustain, and promote an artist-centered community that provides outstanding educational, artistic, and collaborative programs in the ceramic arts.
