Big Meadow

BIG MEADOW PRESENTS their debut album, “The Path of the Beam”. A ritual of hope, grief, and self-divination, The Path of the Beam retells the life of Shelby Abb through a lens of mythology.

Shelby began writing and recording material in April of 2024, and by June had brought an album of mostly instrumental music to Matthew Everhart, certain of the delicacy and care with which he would approach it. Since that moment the music, and the project as a whole, never stopped growing. Ricky Wise soon joined, sharing his impassioned energy, and Big Meadow continued to take steps towards a full album release.

The band is joined on the Creative Alliance stage by Mike Vance, who has been tasked with bringing the many guitar and keyboard layers of this album to the live experience. Similarly, Deb Gorlach and Emily Rosado-Cruz will bless the space with the vocal and percussion layers.

Together we are determined to craft a brief moment in time for you, so that you may be immersed in art, community, and peace.
