2025 Baltimore Crankie Festival: Open Crank

We cordially invite you to join us for  Baltimore Crankie Festival Open Crank! Perform with your peers, or sit back and take in the beautiful artistry of crankies made by artists and amateurs alike in the community!

Interested in performing?

Sign-ups to perform are first come first serve. We will accept the first 10 performers to sign up. The following 5 performers to sign up will be on the “waitlist” or “standby” and will also be expected to bring their crankies the day of the event. Should any of the first 10 performers not show, drop out, or if there is extra time the “standby” performers will be called upon in order of sign-up.

The day of the event performers will be expected to arrive at the Creative Alliance no later than 09:30 am. Performers will be expected to come with their crankies “performance ready.” The Creative Alliance will provide a table, black cloth, chair, power outlets, a clamp light with a bulb, and a bluetooth speaker for any sound cues. Performances are expected to fall within a 3-8 min time frame. Emily Schubert will be the MC/ host of the event.
