The Marquee Ball Auction Exhibition in our Main Gallery is curated by the Executive Director of Goya Contemporary Amy Eva Raehse, Artist Lat Naylor, and Creative Alliance Visual Arts Curator Thomas James, and features works generously contributed by more than 80 artists from Baltimore and beyond.

All artworks are valued under $500, making this event the perfect place to collect work from both emerging and renowned artists! Bidding closes at 11pm during the Marquee Ball.

A workshop in two parts.

Part One: Spring Cleaning, in which we edit poems already written. Does it have some unwanted or problematic lines that need to be thrown out? Perhaps a few words need revamping. Maybe the whole poem needs a complete overhaul. We provide each other with ideas and suggestions for improving each other’s work through positive, supportive, and constructive feedback.

Part Two: New Growth. The second three weeks consists of intensive new writing, both in class and at home. Going into April, National Poetry Month, we pull new work up from the soil of our imagination and experiences, using traditional and experimental forms and techniques to generate a bumper crop of new work, as well as plant seeds for future harvest of poetic fruits.
