Artesanas Table: Totally Tamales

Join Creative Alliance’s Artesanas for continent-spanning cuisine rendezvous on the last Friday of every month. Sign up either individually or bring a partner and forge an exquisite meal from scratch, with Latin and South American recipes recipes and culinary skills! After strutting your stuff, finish off with a full shared meal with your new culinary compatriots in this joyful, enlightening Friday evening experience.

DEC 20: Let Creative Alliance’s Artesana Magdalena teach you to make the hottest of tamales (disclaimer: please set the spice level that you desire – we are responsible for over spicin’) in this warming meal just in time for the holidays! Tamales are traditionally prepared for all sorts of occasions, such as parties, harvest celebrations, festivals, and offerings to the dead. This December, nourish your soul and treat your belly at the Artesanas Table!

The Artesanas are a group of talented women living in Southeast Baltimore who are natives of Latin American countries, such as Mexico, El Salvador, and Ecuador, who honor their Latin American heritage by demonstrating, sharing, and teaching traditional crafts.
