Alison Crockett is a WAMMIE-AWARD-WINNING multi-talented singer, songwriter and pianist who grew up spending long nights entranced by her father’s extensive record collection. Tonight, she recreates one of those albums: Echoes of an Era.
Originally featuring jazz heavyweights Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, and funky soul diva Chaka Khan, Alison presents this memorable jazz album that meshes past and present inside of rearrangements of swinging jazz standards and originals by Chick Corea. Her musical director and friend, trumpeter Thad Wilson, lovingly recreates arrangements that bring in elements of Alison’s personal story, honoring her relationship with her dad and his record collection.
