Thursday, May 16, is a great day to stock up on natural and organic groceries and support Creative Alliance at the same time! Make a long list of groceries and shop at WHOLE FOODS MARKET – HARBOR EAST!
WHOLE FOODS MARKET – HARBOR EAST chose Creative Alliance as the beneficiary of its 5% Day on May 16 to help fund CA’s youth education and community programs. The last time CA was honored as a beneficiary in 2008, Whole Foods donated a total of $2,600 to support our work and mission. We are excited about this win-win opportunity for all the people who love Creative Alliance and delicious, nutritious food.
Get the word out to your friends and family that funds raised at WHOLE FOODS MARKET – HARBOR EAST on Thursday, May 16, support CA! Creative Alliance artists, teachers, volunteers, and staff will meet you at the store and provide information about our performances, screenings, workshops, community and youth education programs. We look forward to seeing you on the 16th!
Tips from Whole Foods on making healthy lunches fun and creative:
- Give kids something they can assemble themselves, dip, stack, or roll up.
- Kids love anything “mini”! Serve them something like mini whole grain bagels or cheese cubes.
- Make food into fun shapes with cookie cutters or cut fruit into triangles or circles.
- Include a fun container, special note, napkin, cartoon, or joke in their lunchbox.
