Bartender

Job Title: BartenderClassification: Part-time, Non-exempt

Reports to: Front of House and Rentals Manager

Compensation: $5.50/hr plus tips

Overview:

Bartenders provide excellent customer service while selling beverages and snacks to Creative Alliance patrons in one of our two on-site bars. Bartenders work during performances, private events and on occasion at offsite programs. They act as ambassadors for Creative Alliance and assist Event Managers with venue set up and clean up.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Serve and sell quality drinks and snacks
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with care and confidentiality
• Count register drawer at beginning and end of shift
• Maintain stock and keep bars clean and tidy
• Assist other staff with administrative tasks as needed, including post event clean up

Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older
• 1+ years bartending experience, preferably in a performance venue setting
• Outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with people
• Enthusiasm for Creative Alliance’s mission, programs, and workshops
• Customer service experience
• Availability to work evenings and weekends; occasional weekday, daytime hours a plus
• Experience creating themed cocktails for events

Preferred:

• Alcohol Awareness certification
• Experience with Square
• Ability to speak Spanish

Box Office Assistants act as representatives for Creative Alliance while assisting patrons with ticketing needs, acting as a source of information, and carrying out day-to-day box office operations. Box Office Assistants also provide general administrative and patron services support. This position mainly consists of evening and weekend shifts during performances, screenings, and other special events.
