Meet The Creative Alliance Teen Council!

Creative Alliance | Teen Council Members

This summer, Creative Alliance welcomes nine local youth to the 2018 Teen Council! The Teen Council serves as a youth advisory board for Creative Alliance. The team learns to develop positive work habits and attitudes by participating in an array of projects. This year, the Teen Council is tasked with 4 different projects:

Teen Inclusion Plan: Develop a year-long plan for Creative Alliance to be a friendlier and more inclusive community arts center for teens to express their talents. Proposals may include employment, new arts programs, and suggestions to the overall culture of the organization.

Teen Art Exhibition: Organize and curate an exhibition of teen artwork and talent from across the City! The reception is on Saturday, July 28th from 1-4pm and the exhibition is on view from July 27th thru August 18th.

Lantern Making: Under the guidance of a Baltimore artist, create 500 lantern-bases to be decorated by children and their families in free art workshops in the month of October, as part of the 19th Great Halloween Parade & Festival in Patterson Park.

Open Minds: Assist lead instructors with visual and performing arts in conjunction with literacy for children in grades k-2nd at the Patterson Park Library. Assist lead instructors with ceramics and literacy projects to children in grades 3-5 at the Southeast Anchor Library.
