It’s Art To Dine For Season!

The 2014 Art To Dine For season is nearly here!  Don’t miss a chance to join Baltimore’s best collectors, designers, artists, musicians, singers, dancers, and art lovers in their amazing homes, studios, and workplaces for luscious fare, spirited cocktails, and lively conversation. Plus, you are supporting Creative Alliance’s youth and community arts programs. Tickets are limited, so don’t delay!

AHOY MATEY!THU | SEPT 4 | 6:30-8:30pm
Heavy Seas Alehouse Chef Scott Hines creates mouth-watering delicacies incorporating ale into his recipes. Roll up your sleeves and help or just observe Scott’s culinary skills while hoisting a Heavy Seas crafted ale or an enticing cocktail. 

MAKE IT & BREAK IT! – FRI | SEPT 12 | 6-9 PM
Rosa Vazquez, Yesenia Mejía, and Alejandra Martinez will teach you how to create and design your own brilliant piñata star with full tissue paper details. Enjoy delicious homemade corn tamales, authentic pork al pastor, and vegetarian tacos, followed by a whack at a piñata to release the surprises inside! Chocolate flan for dessert! 

THE ART IN NATURE – SAT | SEPT 13 | 5-9PM
Revel in the Art in Nature with Bo Willse and CA President Susan Gould at their eco-friendly Monkton home. Sip cocktails and stroll through peaceful woodland landscapes where Bo takes many of his gorgeous photographs. They will prepare a banquet feast of home-grown fare. Bountiful living meets sustainability!

DANCE UNDER GLASS – FRI | SEPT 19 | 7:30-11:30PM
Creative Alliance Trustee Robbye Apperson and “super-spinner” Sean Barber transform the magnificent glass-enclosed Rawlings Conservatory into a dazzling disco club. Stroll the expanse of the conservatory, sip wine, and enjoy savory hand-held treats prepared by The Bun Shop in Mt. Vernon. Coffee and desserts by Patisserie Poupon!

MEET BALTIMORE’S A-LIST – SAT | SEPT 20 | 10AM – 2PM
Greenmount Cemetery, Baltimore’s first rural garden cemetery, is a treasure trove of architectural beauty and a Who’s Who of famous Baltimoreans. Join historian Wayne Schaumburg for an intimate tour of this magnificent place where people are dying to get in! Across the street at the City Arts Apartments, Creative Alliance trustee Rachel Edds will host a tasty champagne brunch.  

ART AU NATURAL – SAT | SEPT 20 | 5-8PM
Join internationally known painter and teacher Edna Kurtz Emmet in her exquisite backyard “garden gallery” where art hangs on trees!  Dine on delicious homemade falafel and sip wine while listening to live music by the Organic Family Band. 

FALL FIESTA! – SUN | SEPT 21 | 5:30-8:30PM
Olé, mole! Celebrate the Fall Equinox with an authentic Oaxacan mole dinner (meat and vegetarian options) hosted by renowned Baltimore artist Lois Borgenicht in her gracious Roland Park home. Following dinner, tour Lois’ distinguished collection. 

AN ARTIST’S SANCTUARY – SAT | SEPT 27 | 5-9PM 
Join hosts Alzaruba, partner George Maris, and Creative Alliance supporter Chris Bangs for an intimate glimpse into the private world of a working artist. After cocktails, stroll in their lush terraced gardens in fall bloom next to their artfully appointed Hamilton Bungalow.  Tour Al’s studio to learn about his artistic process and view their extraordinary multicultural art collection. The evening continues with a sumptuous sit-down dinner in the Great Room.
