Open Minds Lead Enrichment Teacher

Overview: Enrichment Teacher supports Creative Alliance’s Out of School Time program goals and policies. The teacher is hired up to 1.5 hours a day at $35/hr which includes lesson planning, promotion, and journals. Teacher writes weekly lesson plans and submits daily enrichment journals using Creative Alliance templates. Additional hours may include orientation and wrap-up meetings. Open Minds partners with local schools and libraries.

This Season's Theme: World of Women - This month's series will highlight Women in the Arts 

Essential Functions:

• Enrichment Teachers are paid for planning provided they have submitted both their lesson plan and daily enrichment journal. Additional hours may include: creating class supply lists, orientation and wrap-up meetings, and finale preparation.
• Promote the mission of Creative Alliance and goals of the After School program
• Supervise and conduct 1 hour of arts enrichment to class up to 25 students maximum
• Follow safety protocols and behavior management policies of BCPSS and Creative Alliance
• Maintain an orderly virtual classroom
• Plan for and participate in youth finale presentation

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm for Creative Alliance’s mission, programs, and workshops
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an arts educator for K-12 grade
• Complete a background check
• Effective communication skills
• Timeliness
