YOGA: Create Your Own Movement Ritual

Investigate the needs of your physical body and navigate various movement techniques to create your own movement ritual. A movement ritual is a simple routine you can perform regularly to relieve and calm your body, as well as enhance the connection between the brain and the body. Leave this workshop with a better understanding of movement styles and how you can incorporate them throughout your day.

What should you expect?

  • Meditation to slow the body down and simulate waking up in the morning
  • Energizing movement techniques
  • Free-form movement/play
  • Calming movement techniques
  • Breathwork
  • A few short writing exercises to record our analysis and draft a movement ritual

What should you bring:

  • Yoga Mat (we will have extras to borrow)
  • Pen / Pencil
  • Journal / Notebook
  • Water
  • Wear comfortable clothes that make you feel good
