Join Creative Alliance Resident Artist Samantha Sethi for a one day workshop exploring the creative possibilities of sculptural and environmental art while enjoying the beauty of Patterson Park.
We begin with a brief introduction to the history of environmental art as a way to start brainstorming. Then you create a new work of art to be temporarily installed in Patterson Park. Gather and/or bring your own natural materials (sticks, leaves, rocks etc) or non toxic materials (twine, yarn, wire, natural clay, wood, etc.) or use the materials provided to create your artwork.
Finished pieces are installed as a temporary art intervention/pop up exhibition for a few hours and then removed in order to preserve the park’s natural beauty.
