About Black Belt Jones:
The Mafia is out to take over the property of an African-American karate school owned by the legendary Papa Byrd. The Don sends his henchmen over to try and muscle the karate master into handing over the property title, but he throws them out. Black Belt Jones, a friend of Papa Byrd, is contacted for help, but before he's able, the Mafia's henchmen accidentally kill Papa Byrd in a second visit. Before dying in his friends' arms, Byrd says that the school belongs to his daughter, Sydney - whom nobody knows. Black Belt Jones asks a friend of his who works for the Government, to find her and inform her of her father's death. Sydney is out for revenge, but Jones doesn't want her taking on the deadly battle alone. Things get ugly, fast, and furious in this cult 1970s blaxploitation martial arts classic!
About Can I Kick It?

In August 2018, they were featured in the 23rd Annual Made in Hong Kong Film Festival presented by the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery of Art and their screening of the Shaw Bros. classic, Legendary Weapons of Kung Fu, was the most well-attended film of the festival. Recently, the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts announced CAN I KICK IT? as part of their 2018-19 Hip Hop Culture Season Lineup
