Celebrate the Artesanitos! Over the last twelve months, folkloric traditions in Latin American arts and crafts have been passed down to the outstanding children of Artesanas Mexicanas. Artesanitos learned about the cultural significance of Día de los Muertos through step-by-step lessons in altar-making, papel picado, piñata making, as well as the process and native crafts of Totomoxtle (corn husk) such as doll-making, basket-making, badges of honor, and flower-making. Enjoy a special presentation by Artesanas Mexicanas coordinator, Yesenia Mejia, and founder Maria Gabriela Aldana. By special request – a magician dazzles!
