Baltimore City Public Schools in the East Baltimore community are invited to submit individual or group projects that represent their schools’ celebration of Black History Leaders!
The ninth annual Black History Month Student Competition is presented by Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Community Affairs and Creative Alliance. The exhibition, youth performances and reception give local youth a forum to showcase their artistic talents and honor black men and women who have made significant contributions to society and made historical accomplishments from Baltimore and around the world! Young people, families, community members and others will experience work at the Creative Alliance’s Amalie Rothschild Gallery on view from February 23 to March 9, 2019. 3134 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224
Galleries are always free and open to the public Tuesdays thru Saturdays from 11am to 7pm.
OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, February 23, 1-3PM

1st place- $1000
2nd place- $500
3rd place- $250
Honorable Mention- $100
People’s Choice Award- $250

Digital files will be accepted on a flashdrive. Please give Creative Alliance advanced notice of digital work entries.
Notification & Prizes:
By March 25, 2018 all award winners will have received notification via email of prizes winnings. After work has been displayed at the Creative Alliance, artwork will be returned to participating schools and groups along with winnings.
