About Highwire Improv:

Improv is the process of a community coming together to make art in real-time. Although there are many improv techniques, training programs, and performance practices, at Highwire Improv our process begins with community. That includes our performers, the people of Baltimore, and the larger improv community across the world. Our motto, Community First, commits us to learning how we can all create theater, and bring our community to the world through the art of improv. We are a reaction to the negative impulses and incentives we have seen in improv, in theater, and in our daily lives.

Millie Hoffman (she/her) has been taking improv classes and performing since 2018. She performs regularly with Babeprov, David Bowie Improv, and a variety of special projects. An elementary school teacher by day, she’s enthusiastic about bringing the joy of ‘play’ to all!

Tashika Campbell (she/her) is a veteran improviser, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. Co-founder of the award-winning troupe Cake Walk, Tashika is a sought-after performer, facilitator and teacher. Currently, she serves as the lead coordinator for the 1st Improv festival dedicated to performers of the global majority, in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area, known as “F.A.M. Fest.” A leader in the community, Tashika also serves on the board of directors at the Baltimore Improv Group as President.
